A Macbook Air running OS X Lion with all apps full screened and navigated using swipe gestures really is the bee’s knee’s and Safari is the last non-chat app that I use that doesn’t conform well.</p> <p>I’d like to see nothing but the website in full screen mode. Naively, I tried to hide the toolbar with <span>⌘</span>-| but nothing happened. The menubar’s <em>View -> Hide Toolbar</em> is also disabled.</p> <p>But, the toolbar’s <em>Hide Toolbar </em>context (right click) menu isn’t disabled and works as expected. </p> <p>But, after hiding the toolbar, there’s nowhere to right click to get it back. And ⌘-L, which makes the toolbar reappear briefly to accept commands in a the windowed Safari.app, doesn’t make the toolbar show up either. So, if you want to <a href="http://duckduckgo.com/" title="go">go</a> on to the next thing, you have to <em>literally</em> exit full screen mode first.</p> <p>Full screen in Safari should actually be full bleed. All chrome should disappear.
