Vox AD15VT Valvetronix 15W Guitar Amp
Kevin raved. I read reviews.
Last weekend playing guitar w/ my Stage 112SE 180Watt 12” amp turned up to 4/10 on the clean channel through my multi-effects pedal turned to 6 out of 100. Something jiggles the cable connecting the pedal to the amp.

Maybe it’s the stone-cone I’m jamming in but anxiety that the neighbors are trying to hide from World War III over in 5F is enough for me to stop playing.
To the rescue:

- 15W
- 8” speaker
- Real tube-power sound from Vox Valve Reactor circuit
- Real 12AX7 triode tube and low-wattage tube power circuit
- 11 amp models
- 11 high-quality effects
- User programs
- Preset mode for quick model access
- Knob-based interface for easy editing
- Manual mode for real time adjustments
- Headphone/line out jack
Now I just have to wait the 2-5 business days for it to ship to the office.

I was actually raving about the
Vox Pathfinder 15R, but the Tonelab/Valvetronics amps are equally bad-ass, 'specially if you're into playing with a lot of effects.
Werd. I wanted to go with something as versatile as possible and have heard a lot of great things. I'll probably only ever use the tremolo and a few amp simulations.
:banjo:
It'll definitely be fun to play with. I'm curious about how it'll sound with your Parker.
I packed up the Strat as I've not played it since getting the Parker, put away the multi-effects pedal (the Parker refuses to ever go out of tune and the amp handles all the effects I ever need) and cleaned up the guitar corner of the round room.
The VOX sounds pretty rad.
I've only played it for a little bit, here's
a cheat sheet for the amp modeling:
Here is the list:

For the past few months - almost since I first plugged the amp in, it has been very very quiet.
I keep the amp tilted up on an old acoustic guitar stand to prevent my playing from reverberating through the hardwood floors to the neighbors downstairs and to keep the tiny speaker pointed more in the general direction of my ears instead of my toes. On more than few occasions, the cats have launched off it in such a way as to cause it to crash face down from about 3" elevation.
I've always assumed that my cat broke the amp but I bought it to practice and it was just loud enough to be perfectly audible / acceptable with all the volume's and levels at 10.
This weekend I took it apart to make sure the tube wasn't damaged and nothing obvious was broken. 20 screws later, I was looking at a 12AX tube in perfect condition and a handful of boards wired to each other with no obvious problems. Damn.
I put it back together carefully and plugged in. Fixed! I don't know how but I'm back to playing with the master volume between 2 and 3 instead of between 10 and not-loud-enough.
The amps I use most are the AC15 and AC30 models, with an occasional JCM900. I'll take one of each please. :)
You'd be better off getting an actual amp stand. Pretty cheap and a lot more stable. It's between that and forking over ~$100.00 to fix your amp.
Speaking of tubes, I've become a big fan of
this site. I've gotten tubes for my Ampeg from there on more than one occasion. Plus it's a pretty good resource if you're clueless about tubes, like me.
I've since switched to a much more stable acoustic guitar stand for the amp. Great link - tyvm, I'm a complete tube newb.
@philip_daigle congratulations Philip!

@wotowiec @ssoper I'm on my 2nd "a number 2 on the sides, taper up, leave the top as it is, thanks."
I think I'm acting out. It's a phase.

@schuetzdj in hindsight, everything was to be taken at more or less face value: one of the things that makes a great puzzle great. =] #DBIR

@christopherkunz nice work! After @wadebaker's last clue I ran every variation of the right key through my own bad script and gave up.
@marcusjcarey thanks, I'm very much enjoying the Bay Area. The return of @dojosec/@dojocon streams is great news, I look forward to 'em.

@kathybarnett way to go Kath!
